Perspecs is committed to protecting the privacy of contractors, inspectors, and government agencies who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, phone number, and agency affiliation when you create an account. We also collect usage data including inspection records, scheduling activity, and platform interactions to improve the Service.

Mobile Apps

The Perspecs Inspector and Perspecs Contractor apps use your device location only while the app is open, to show where you are on the map and to help plan inspection routes. We do not track your location in the background.

Inspectors can take or choose photos to attach to inspection results. Those photos are uploaded to the agency's inspection record and are only visible to people with access to that agency's records.

Messages you send through in-app support are used only to answer your request.

Service Providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the platform: Auth0 for sign-in, DigitalOcean for hosting and file storage, Resend for email notifications, and Mapbox for maps and address lookup. They process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process inspection workflows, send notifications about status changes and assignments, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Isolation

Perspecs uses a multi-tenant architecture where each agency's data is completely isolated. Contractor and inspector data is only visible within the agencies they are associated with. No data is shared between agencies without explicit authorization.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), role-based access controls, complete audit trails, and secure cloud infrastructure. All data is stored in SOC 2 compliant environments.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Inspection records and audit trails are retained in accordance with applicable government record retention requirements.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage your account settings directly in the platform or contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in either mobile app. Deleting your account removes your name, email address, phone number, and sign-in details, and removes you from every agency. You can also request deletion at perspecsds.com/delete-account.

Inspection records that belong to a government agency, such as results and inspection history, are kept by that agency as required by public record retention rules. They are no longer linked to your personal details.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
